Here they are in the order they were submitted. Thank you to everyone who participated! Click the links to see bigger and better versions of the hang-ups.

Jennifer O
"I finished stitching this on December first! Perfect timing. It is a technique on linen called whitework embroidery, although as you can see, I did it in red! I used Danish flower thread, which is a linen thread that gives a matte look"

"Her name is Mrs. Claws. She's made of brown velour, and I made her a Christmas frock with giant lapels, because isn't that what Christmas is all about? I then embroidered her facial features and added a matching hat."

"I have finished the '12 Days of Christmas' wall hanging I started last year but gave up on when I realised it was not going to be finished in time for Christmas 2003"

"I would like a better photo but my camera hasn't been very cooperative lately. It's so simple I'm almost embarrassed to enter it, but I like it alright."
Link

Moki
"Feeling a tad emotionally preoccupied by the stresses of the season (see previous entry) I thought a little stuffed moki hanging onto a present for dear life would be appropriate."
Link

Amanda Bartlett
"the last time I picked up needle and thread I think I was about 14 and my Mother (read incredibly talented seamstress) was trying again to pass on some of her skills to her only daughter. What can I say I was crap or should I say I couldn’t be bothered to sew because it was far too untrendy and I just wanted to practice my Madonna dance routines."

"His holiday hang-up is not being very exiting. He isn't red and lively like a Cardinal or bossy and loud like a Blue Jay, he can't even whistle. So he found himself a nice red scarf and soon will figure out he is a very nice bird just the way he is."

"Glue, ribbons and lots of glitter are the base for this Holiday Hangup of my character, Snowbear, I made for a client. It was also the very thing I used to do when I was a kid. Fun stuff, I wish I had time to make more."

"I am so giddy about these trees (aka presents), Dana was shaking his head as I made them during the Star Wars movie last night. I got this brilliant idea that I could do something with this felting flop that occured a month ago."

"made these ornaments (there are ten in all) to give to Pauls nieces and nephews for christmas.I hope they like them. I was also a dork and have little tags on them that say my name. Looking back, I probably would have put the names on the inside..but oh well, I learn with every project I make!"

"This is Maude, who is not completly new but really did want to have a debut! She is fully jointed and has wings that can be detatched, as the pressure of angelhood can at times be a tad overwhelming."

"This ornament was inspired in part by expatriate friends in Australia.... In their Christmas letter, they described the strangeness of the holiday season without snow, but also the fun of creating new traditions in a warm climate -- like a Christmas Day surf and barbecque."

"I was originally going to make Christmas stockings for P and I... Not wanting to miss out altogether I whipped these tree decorations up in about an hour. These were so easy to make and they used up bits and pieces of my stash that I thought would never get used."

"I finished it the night before last, calmly sewing the lining into place rather than frantically throwing it together which has been my habit until now. Here it is hanging in the lemon tree."

"Still feeling sentimental about Oscar's 1st birthday I made this little polar bear ornament out of his Christmas sleeper from last year. (yes, it's for you Grandma) Seems an appropriate submission for Loobylu's December Month of Softies."

"A retro advent calendar, in it's post-advent state, made of felt and sequins and trim. I still marvel at the fact that mere felt to felt contact holds those ornaments on that tree, and nothing else. "

"This is one of 25 teensy felt handbags. Ultimately I'll embroider each
with a number and make it a little advent calendar that hangs on your tree. How much fun would it be to be a kid and get to search for each day's bag and find candy, a verse, or a little trinket inside each one?"

"I already had made the perfect answer a couple years ago, with these ornaments. Please forgive the recycling and enjoy their jaunty felt faces. Oh, and they are finger puppets to boot. They're hung on a tiny tree, and Santa's 5" tall, his sidekick 4.5"."

Butterscotch Bat Bottoms loves evergreens. We found him sleeping in our Christmas tree the other night and he said we could take his picture. He put on his best holiday scarf and ear hats for the occasion. He's crashing with us until it gets a little warmer outside.

"...after the tragedy of the tsunami devastation I decided to post this. Its a small painting of a sheep, suitable for hanging on the tree or elsewhere. We made a donation to the Heifer Project in our family's name, and I gave one of these little paintings to each of my relatives. "

"My entry for 'Holiday Hangups' is Betsy Moo who got her Christmas wish to own a pair of wings and be able to fly! She was made very quickly one afternoon late last week out of an old school shirt, some floral cotton, patches made from an old pair of flannel trousers and a bit of bright pink fleece."

I hope you will place them although they aren't totally my own designs."
