"He is one of the guys who paints the roses red so the queen won't get mad. Doesn't he look
worried? He doesn't want to hear those four words: "Off with his head!""

Natalie Steed
"Made a rabbit for my little girl – who insisted on the eyebrows once it was made."
Link

Erica Saladino
"he is a slithy tove: sort of like a badger, with a green lizard underbelly & a corkscrew nose. i
hand-sewed him out of felt & this time i made a pattern so there can be more! there should be many slithy toves."

Sarah Neuburger
The Small Object
"As my own nickname, it seemed to make sense that I'd have to make the Cheshire Cat. I decided to pretend I was parading around in my pink footed pajamas with my big mouth and sharp claws!"

Bertha Crowley
Bertha's Journal
"The hedgehogs were fighting, which seemed an excellent opportuntiy for croqueting one with the other."
Link

Donielle
Turtle Kisses
"she is machine-sewed & made of felt. she's also got pretty blue flower lace & white eyelet trim on her dress. her hair is made of pom poms & her maryjane's have little hearts for valentine's day. her background is vintage fabric sent to me by neesypea of star serge. i'll probably make her a blanket w/ it later ."

"'Beautiful princess flamingo' is made from a mixture of knitted, plaited and sewn pieces. Named by Brooke, she is now asking for more members of her family to be made to keep her company!"

"The Alice in Wonderland Quilt. See her legs in the trees? Alice is HUGE!"
Link

Erica Saladino
"Humpty dumpty describes the sound it makes as "something between bellowing and whistling, with a kind of sneeze in the middle: however, you'll hear it done, maybe - down in the wood yonder - and, when you've once heard it, you'll be quite content." "

"It's a little plain, and I'm afraid that people might not "get" it. But still, I'm so proud of myself. So, anyway, the theme is Alice in Wonderland revisited, and here is my masterpiece"
Link

Mimi Kirchner
Doll
"Tweedledee and Tweedledum...I really know nothing about these 2 guys, just that they are twins. I am sure I read “Through the Looking Glass", but it was so long ago that I have no memory of any of it. So I am definitely “revisiting"… just a very casual visit!"

Lucía Dorado

"Welcome to "Tea Party Critter´s Club".We have the Cheshire Cat, the March Hare and an unrequired little she-bear, by the way.I made the three of them, plus the pocket-watch and the heart that hangs over. They are all made in silk fabric and the creatures have each one their own crocheted fruit.Cute party and no Alice in sight!"

Rosemary Travale
Piratic Erratics
" It didn't turn out at all like I was hoping. And actually, it's filled with the remnants of a horrible Alice doll gone wrong. I have higher hopes for next months attempt."
Link

Aimee Ray
Little Dear
"Alice in Wonderland has always been one of my favorite books. There are so many great characters, I could go on forever making more and more of them, but I'll stop here for now with three of my favorites. I based these on the "alice" series of paintings I did last
year. "

Inge Verbist

"I used a fleece sweater that I always get as a christmasgift from my work. They are always way to big for me, so I was quite pleased that I could do something usefull with it this year."

"...I then decided I wanted to experiment with the fabric expressing (or trying to do so!) the 'spirit' of the piece. For example - the brown and gold swirly fabric to express 'lioness' or the dreamy blue expressing 'caterpillerness'..."

"i liked the general idea of my design, and i might try to work with it a bit, and maybe i will have some mousey stuffies to add to the shop someday... i researched dormouses, which are native to europe, and sleep 3/4 of the year. they also have bushy tails like a squirrel. they are quite cute, but they are also endangered. "

"The caterpillar is made from blue paisley flannel and all the arms and legs are somewhat posable. He stands over 2 feet tall. The mushroom is peach polyester with plaid patchwork as the underside of the ’shroom. I added a few spots too."
Link

Link

Jerry Chen
"A sewing bag made for a friend. The cheshire cat is painted in Acrylic. It is not as cute as the Disney version. But....it looks really "mad"."
Link

Luminant Studio
"" 'There are no mice in the air, I'm afraid, but you might catch a bat, and that's very like a mouse, you know. But do cats eat bats, I wonder?' And here Alice began to get rather sleepy, and went on saying to herself in a dreamy sort of way, 'Do cats eat bats? Do cats eat bats?' "

Jordan Langham
Too crazy to go outside
"My contribution: The Dodo. I stayed up until 4 am finishing him, I did everything by hand. I even "hand dyed" some white felt ... and by that I mean I took an ink pad and rubbed it all over the felt with a paper towel. I should be a girl scout."
Link

Erin Flynn
Dream and Sugar
"I needlefelted this poor white rabbit out of corriedale wool. He's very worried about being late, and has broken into tears. I wish Alice would just let him be on his way. "
Link

Trish Millener
"This wonkie white rabbit has spent too much time hanging out with the
caterpillar. He's made from wool felt and embellished with an old
French watch face."
Link

Natascha Rosenberg
"Hi!! I´m the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland!!! I´m wearing my new suit today but... I left my watch home!!!!"

"i was in a really bad mood the day i made this, so it seemed like a good idea. i was in a much better mood by the time i finished, so maybe it was therapeutic, but it could have just been coincidental..."
Link

Tracy Chen
Whisper of Dreams
"I spent an afternoon to finish an Alice doll, which is only 10cm tall. The body and the shoes are made of felt. The big big face looks sort of like myself. :P The dress is cotton and the apron is muslin. Snake said she looked like a waitress in a country restaurant"
Link

Corrine Dean

"I really wanted to make all these plush objects, like the pocketwatch, and a teacup, and a mirror (looking glass). I only had time for the pocket watch....so I made the white rabbit to go along with it!"
Link

Katie Aaberg
Goblinko
"The Walrus and The Carpenter! I think I may have gone a little overboard with six characters and a background, but I had to do it... I've loved the
poem since I was a kid."
Link

Jess Hutchinson
Jess Hutch
"She is sort of a 1930s Alice - when I decided to
embroider her I knew I wanted to give her that vintage tea-towel look. She is trying to decide whether to take a swig from the bottle. I love that in the story the stuff inside tastes like "cherry-tart, custard, pineapple, roast turkey, toffee, and hot buttered toast." Yum."

" I chose the March Hare as my starting point, but because it's February's softy, I made him the February Hare. See, he's got a necklace of snowballs. He's also got the strange ability to turn himself into a toucan facing the other way, but whatever."

* Finish the ruddy thing on time (Feb. 28 is when the pictures need to be emailed)
