Illo Friday – Tranquility

I can hear Amelia talking incessantly to Bronwyn out in the kitchen. She keeps shouting “Hey!” . Outside the electrician is installing a new metre box to the outside of my studio wall – he is drilling and hammering so hard the window is shaking and my monitor is vibrating. And the topic for this week’s Illustration Friday is “Tranquility”.

Despite my jangled nerves, here is a little girl pausing momentarily to let the full winter sunshine fall across her face.

Litten Kitten – Rose

I have just finished Rose — she is a gift for Nikki who was so incredibly kind and generous and hosted my exhibition for the last 6 weeks in her shop – Hudson Clothes (229 Carlisle St Balaclava 3183). Her shop is great and, if you can, you should definitely drop in.

Also – my thoughts are with Amy, creator of the beautiful Lumplings. I hope all goes well for you and your family. xx.

OMG

I thought I’d never make it… but at last — at last — I have May’s A Month of Softies Gallery up online. Ohh such beautiful softies! Thank you so much to everyone who sent in amazing (again) contributions. And thank you also for your patience and understanding when it came to waiting (and waiting and waiting) for the gallery to appear.

As with every other gallery so far there was total chaos when it came to making sure everyone was up with all the correct details so please let me know if I have missed your entry or if I have done something odd to your details.

Hooray! Now I am off to pick up Amelia. June’s gallery will be coming up in the next week or so.

Some questions

Is this just a stage? Can I possibly hold it together while Amelia is freaking out? Do I say “Naughty mat” or “Time out”? How is it possible to be so revolting one minute and then in the blink of an eye so incredibly sweet? Am I talking about me or her?
