Victorian Bushfires

Such a terrible week so far.  Thank you to those who have emailed or commented regarding our safety. We are at least half an hour from the fires and are at no risk.

Please donate what you can to the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal to help the thousands effected by these fires.

*** Edited to add: See also Meet Me at Mikes, and Handmade Help for more ways in which you can help out. ***

Back soon. xx

I think it will be a long time before we are able to enjoy a hot cup of chai at St Andrews market on a Sunday :(
My heart goes out to all those who have lost so much.

Great to hear you and your family are in no danger! We listened to the news of the fires all weekend – so horrible. Thank you for posting ways to help.

I have made a Comfy Thong (G-string) Pattern and tutorial on my site and am asking everyone who downloads it to donate at least five dollars to the Red Cross Appeal. My last knicker pattern got downloaded over 200,000 times so I am hoping and praying to raise some big bucks for them!
So glad you don’t live any closer,
Mia

Here in England we are having (some say) the coldest winter in 30 years. Is this global warming in action?

i.e. perhaps global warming won’t mean everything overheating, but some unbearable overheating counterbalanced by excessive freezing.

I sympathise with you. On balance, I’d rather have the ice and snow. May you soon have rain. Best of luck.
