On my desk… mess.

We’re in the middle of school holidays so blogging time is pretty limited… sleep ins, Horton hears a Who, fairy crafts and mad playdough sessions are in abundance.
I have also completely lost track of time so here’s On My Desk… on a Wednesday a day late.
Back row L-R: Mark Ryden print, cushion waiting to be stitched up to go on Amelia’s bed, vintage doll’s face found on ebay some years ago, ukulele cuteness, a new doll pattern I I’m working on but the proportions are all wrong! It looks a little South Park.
Front row L-R: Suitcase full of buttons, folder full of patterns, moleskines full of doodles.

That is one of the cutest “messes” I have seen!
The doll you’re working on is a delight and isn’t Mark Ryden phenomenal?

Oh yes - a lot of loveliness. I’m pretty keen on your new doll even if you think she needs work.

Actually, the little doll looks very cute with its big head!

Like Alison, I am glad you’re back. And also impressed you can do it with your two girls, in the school holidays…incredible. I think the doll just needs thicker/wider arms and legs so it’s not so south park. I like her hair-do too.

I really wish my desk looked like this. Mine is full of post-its, half-eaten granola bars and about a zillion patterns that I downloaded online, but will never get to because I am in a huge sewing rut…
p.s.
Horton is big at our house now too.

Your desk looks like a nice neat creative and productive mess. Mine is just a creative clutter that you have to wade through. It makes productivity difficult. I really like the pillows you’ve made I saw the red one featured on another blog(sorry I can’t remember which one.) By the way welcome back after your blogging break!

I’d kill to take a peek into those moleskines! Well, not actually kill, but you get the idea.
I’m planning on posting about my new desk soon. Look for pics on my Flickr soon! You might dig some of the knick knacks I have laying around.
Again, so good to see you back up and running here, Claire!

I really like the look of the little doll, if you feel she is a dud, I will give her a home ; )

I’m keen to see the suitcase of buttons open… love Mark Ryden & the vintage doll face. I have a vintage doll with a smaller version of the same face!
