Loobylu is the personal web site of Claire Robertson.
I am an illustrator and toy maker living and working in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.

I live with the teeny tiny Amelia J and the slightly larger Big-P in our new house - a funny old weatherboard house which has been extended and altered in various direction over the last 50 years.

Loobylu.com was launched on Sunday 21 May, 2001 at 11.19am. Before that it existed at loobylu.diaryland.com from December 1999.

I use Dreamweaver MX for my layout (including using awful amounts of nested tables). It does the trick. For now.

I do almost all of my illustration in Adobe Photoshop v.7
I start of with a loose sketch and then slowly build up the layers with colours and textures (scanned in or created from scratch) and shading and light. There are some tips in such techniques over at Bob Staake's beefy site.

I am hosted by the ROCKING Segment Publishing who go out of their way to make this the best hosting service around.

I use Movable Type to publish all the content and love it.
